Moodbidri, Jul 9: ICYM unit here, on July 8 celebrated Vanamahotsava - 2018 at Corpus Christi Church in the city by distributing saplings.
Fr Paul Sequeira was president of the programme and Norbert Martis - principal, Government College, Kokrady was the chief guest.
His gave a message to the gathering was on the importance of planting saplings (trees) which fight against global warming and how innovatively Vanamahotsava can be celebrated.
The ICYM members distributed saplings to the ward gurkars, parishioners and announced the winners of good caretakers of saplings which where distributed in the previous year.
