Puttur: Swimmer Diganth bags two medals in aquatic championship

Puttur, Jul 8: Diganth V S from Puttur Aquatic Club Sharks won two medals at the Sports India (Non medallist) Aquatic Championship 2018 held on July 7 at Pooja Aquatic Centre, Bengaluru.

Diganth won a bronze medal in 200 metres Individual Medley and a silver medal in 50 metres backstroke.

He trains under coaches Partha Varanashi, Niroop G R and Rohit at Balawana Swimming Pool, Puttur. Diganth is a fifth standard student of Bethany Primary School. He is the son of S Vishwanath (Manager SCDC Bank, Savanoor) and Veena Kumari (clerical staff at Campco Chocolate Factory).
