Bantwal: Woman eating jackfruit develops health complications, dies at hospital

Bantwal, Jul 8: In a strange incident which was reported from the taluk on Saturday July 7, a woman who had been admitted into hospital after she developed health complications when eating jackfruit, lost her life.

The victim of this incident was Hithakshi (20), adopted daughter of Chanila from Kalladka in Golthamajalu village in the taluk. On Thursday July 5, Hithakshi was eating jackfruit at her home when she suddenly began to vomit uncontrollably. She was admitted into a private hospital at Kalladka thereafter. As her health did not show desirable improvement, she was shifted to a private hospital at Thumbe on Friday.

The policemen of the town station here said that Hithakshi did not show any improvement in her health condition even after treatment, and breathed her last. The police have begun investigation.
