Ballari: Groom becomes accident victim a day after his marriage

Ballari, Jul 4: The couple had liked each other and exchanged wedding rings in a bid to live together for life. However, destiny had other plans. In the accident which happened the very next day, the newlywed groom lost his life while the bride is in critical condition.

Kanthesh (29) from Harakahavi village in the district had married Rashmi from Hoskeri village at Lord Veerabhadreshwara temple at Kodadagudda in Jagalur taluk on Monday July 2. After the marriage, as per tradition, the couple went to the parental home of Rashmi. On Tuesday morning both of them were travelling to Harakabavi village, native village of Kanthesh in car, when the driver of the car lost control over the vehicle. The car hit a roadside tree. Kanthesh lost his life instantly, while Rashmi, who suffered grievous injuries, is being treated in a hospital. Her condition is said to be critical, and she stands admitted into the government hospital at Davanagere.
