Fancy Dress Competition at Bahrain Kannada Sangha

Members and members’ children of various age groups took part in the competition.  

The audience was regaled with the various roles such as Begger, vegetable seller, teacher, mad woman, monkey, cobbler, kathakali dancer, etc played by the participants.

Entertainment Secretary of the club, Doomanna Rai took charge of event.  Also, the cultural programme such as singing, magic show and other fun filled items were conducted by the Krishna team consisting of Vijay Satyanarayan, Chetan Hegde and Sudhir Shetty.  

On the onset, the General Secretary Anil Basagi welcomed the audience and Doomanna Rai gave a brief introduction of the programme.  Jagannath Kadekar, Satyanarayan and Soumya judged the fancy dress competition.

The President Austin Santhosh appreciated the members’ enthusiasm and very pleased with the response.  On the same night, the children born in the month of September celebrated their birthdays by cutting a cake.  

The winners of the contest are as follows:

3 to 5 years:  

1st: Diya Girish
2nd: Risha Shetty
3rd: Mahalasa

5 to 8 years:  

1st: Tanya Girsh
2nd: Kishen
3rd: Kaushika Shetty

8 to 13 years: 

1st: Sampat Jathanna
2nd: Takshak Pai
3rd: Nihar Kareem

18 years and above: 

1st Chetana Hegde
2nd: Shanker Jathanna
