Raichur, May 7: After electrical short circuit ignited fire at Amareshwara Camp at Manvi in the district on the night of Saturday, May 5, a couple was charred alive. The husband-wife duo was reduced to ashes in their sleep.

The victims have been identified as Gulebalu and Krishnaveni. Manvi police visited the spot, registered a case, and took up investigation. More details are awaited.
