Leeladhar Baikampady appointed chairman of Karnataka NRI Forum Bahrain

Bahrain, Apr 25: Bahrain based non-resident Kannadiga Leeladhar Baikampady has been chosen as the chairman of the newly formed 'Karnataka NRI Forum Bahrain'.

One of the dynamic leaders amidst non-resident Tuluva-Kannadiga communities living in the Kingdom of Bahrain and social activist has been contributing immensely in preserving language and culture for the last three decades both India and abroad.

The Karnataka NRI Forum will work under NRI Forum Karnataka, a key initiative of government of Karnataka formed to forge a symbiotic relationship between and its Diaspora.

The NRI Forum of Bahrain will bring all the non-residing Indians including those members of over 18 various associations under one roof to work with unity for the overall progress of Karnataka.

In order to avail the facilities of the state government through the forum, the NRIs need to obtain NRK card by registering themselves.

He was conferred with prestigious 'Aryabhata International award in recognition of his commendable and longstanding contributions to the diversified fields of youth organizing, social service, land and language, literature, culture and charity.
