Hyderabad, Apr 6: A six-year-old boy from Hyderabad who is suffering from blood cancer had a dream of becoming a police commissioner. Thanks to Make a Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization helped him fulfil his dream here on Wednesday April 4.
Ishan is the younger son among three children of D Chand Pasha and Haseena couple from Medak district and studying in Class II. Ishan who is suffering from blood cancer is undergoing treatment at MNJ Cancer hospital, Red Hills.
Make a Wish Foundation, which is a non-profit organization arranges 'wishes' for children with life-threatening medical conditions. The members of Make a Wish Foundation met the parents of Ishan to know about his wish. They helped Ishan fulfil his wish after approaching Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat.
Ishan who donned the khaki uniform for a day was delighted to be a commissioner of police as he took the salute from troops and also addressed a press conference. During the press meet he said that he would install CCCTC cameras in the city to maintain law and order and create friendly policing atmosphere.
Ishan on the occasion also said that being a one-day police commissioner, he would control property offences and control law-and-order problems in Rachakonda Commissionerate. He also wished to have more "She Teams" and police patrolling for women safety and security.
