Mangaluru, Mar 30: Members of St Christopher Association visited Cardts Samvedanaa children home at Adu Maroli on the occasion of Good Friday on March 30.

Chief guest of the programme, local corporator Keshav Maroli told Jesus spread love, peace and service to the down trodden and with the same intension this association is doing service since 50 years for needy people without discrimination of caste and creed. He appreciated the association for choosing the place on this day.



Presiding over the programme, association president Sushil Noronha said, “Since 40 days, we are concentrating on spirituality, fasting and social service activities. Today is a very special day for us because Jesus without any sin was crucified for human sins. So on this special occasion, we visited this children’s home to share love and affection and do service activities. I hope the children and we are happy with what we did.”

Grocery items were given to the home on the occasion.

President Francies D’Souza welcomed the gathering and secretary Nigel Pereira rendered the vote of thanks. Cardts in-charge Jaya Salian compered the programme. Joint secretary Leena D’Souza, Denis Lobo, Julian Dias, John Rodrigues, Jerald D’Souza, Oswald D’Cunha, and Antony D’Souza were present.
