Mangaluru, Mar 25: Jeppu parishioners' association organized 'Jagronn', a night-long vigil prayer ahead of Palm Sunday at Jeppu Natak Sabha hall here on Saturday, March 24.
Giving the start to the prayer, Fr John Fernandes said, "Our God is merciful and is always ready to hear us. He never lets down anyone in troubles and not wants to see his children tired with various burdens. There is a special motive behind this night vigil. The people who gathered here have their own issues to tell to God."
"Prayers always give a new hope and it brings peace to the minds. Under the leadership of Eric Ozario the Jeppu parishioners have organized this meaningful prayer night. Hope this night will be a blessed and fruitful one," he said.
In his speech, Eric Ozario, advisor for the Jeppu parishioners' association said, "God is universal and he does not have any particular religion. He loves every human being and is always ready to hear them. Justice always comes from Him and He never entertains the injustice. Prayer means an interaction between God and an individual. He who really believes in God practices humanity and always stands in favour of truth. Knowing this very well, the Jeppu parishioners' association has organized this night vigil. Definitely this prayer night will help the people who are gathered here to find out solutions for their difficulties and burdens."
The night vigil began with 'Bhakti Sobhann' presented by Eric Ozario and his team. Along with Eric singers Prakash Bajpe, Joyce Ozario and Joyline Lobo sang the bajans and hymns. Elvon, Sunil, Norbert Gonsalves, and Damodar Kumble supported them on orchestra.
