Surat, Jul 31: Surat Police Commissioner R M S Brar has said that there was major local involvement in the Surat bombs.
Twenty-six bombs have so far been defused in the past few days in Surat. The top cop also admitted that there had been an intelligence failure.
Another bomb was found in Ankleshwar, 50 km from Surat on Thursday morning. Now, total of 26 bombs have been found and defused in the past few days.
In fact, the entire country is on the edge following the devastating serial bomb blasts.
In Kolkata, police got two weeks custody of Kaushik Basu, the son of a cyber cafe owner who was arrested after an e-mail threatening terror attacks in the city was traced to him.
Kolkata: Kaushik Basu is in custody till August 13. Police have said that Basu will help identify people who sent email.
