Mangaluru, Jan 26: Martin's Multi-Cuisine Restaurant, Ice Cream Parlour and Bakery, a new venture of Martin's Group was inaugurated at Jeppu on Friday, January 26.
U.T Khader, minister for food and civil supplies, inaugurated the restaurant portion while Ivan D’Souza, chief whip of legislative assembly inaugurated the ice cream parlour. MLA J R Lobo, and Fr Richard Coelho, director, Fr Muller Charitable Institutes lighted the lamp. Fr Ajith Menezes, administrator, Fr Muller Medical College, Jacintha Alfred, local corporator, Dr Kavita D Souza, professor, Muller Medical College and Martin Paul, owner of Martin’s were present on the dais.
In his inaugural speech, U T Khadar said, "Martin came to Mangaluru for his children s education. After studying the investment atmosphere here, he planned to set up a hypermarket. After a short time, his first venture gained popularity in Mangaluru. So now with this restaurant he is opening another business. Martin Paul has chosen right time and space to open this restaurant. Martin’s restaurant is a gift to this city with new innovative idea. I wish all the best to this venture,”
J R Lobo said, "This restaurant is situated on Fr Muller's Road which is model road in city. This restaurant is one of the best in city. I thank Martin and his family for coming up with investment plan to our city and wish them well,”
In his speech Martin Paul said "I thank the citizens of Mangaluru. The support they gave to our earlier venture made us come up with this restaurant. We are not only doing business. We donate 40% of our profits to charity. We spend the amount to help poor students in their education. By helping them, we are trying to transform children into good and responsible citizens of the country. Good education will help them learn about the importance of peace in society,”
Situated on the first floor of ‘Muller Nest’ at Jeppu, Martin’s multi-cuisine restaurant offers South Indian, North Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines along with a variety of sea food.
The ice cream parlour and bakery serve many mouth-watering varieties of ice cream, desserts, breads, cakes, pastries, and sweets.
