Udupi, Jan 26: In connection with the murder of NRI entrepreneur, Bhaskar Shetty (52) from Indrali here, who operated a bar cum restaurant in the city, police personnel of criminal investigation department (CID), Bengaluru, filed additional charge sheet running into 101 pages on Thursday January 25 in a court here. Allegedly, Shetty was killed and his mortal remains were cut into pieces and burnt down in a spot meant for sacrificial fire.
The CID had earlier submitted an 816-page sheet charge sheet in the case. The pages in the additional charge sheet have been numbered from 817 to 918. In addition to naming 20 new witnesses in the case, the CID has also provided several documents and evidences including reports from experts.

The additional charge sheet was submitted by deputy superintendent of police, CID, Chandrashekhar, in the court of the chief district and sessions judge, T Venkatesh Naik, in the presence of public prosecutor, Shanthi Bai, and advocate for the accused, Arun Bangera Beluvai.
Main accused in the case, Rajeshwari Shetty, Navneet Shetty, and Nandalike Niranjan Bhat, who are currently lodged in Parappana Agrahara central prison at Bengaluru, were produced in the court through video conferencing facility. Both the persons accused of destruction of evidence, who are on bail, were present in the court.
The judge posted the case for further hearing to February 9.
