Mangaluru, Jan 22: Taking swift action in the murder of Shivaraj at Tannirbavi here on Monday January 22, the city crime branch (CCB) police arrested three persons in the case.
Shivaraj Karkera (39) was murdered in his house early morning on Monday by three assailants.
The police who swung into action arrested Sunil Poojary (32), Dheeraj (25) and Mallesh alias Madesh (23). All three are residents of Tannirbavi.
Police said that personal rivalry between Shivaraj and the accused led to the murder.

Some others who were also involved in the crime are expected to be arrested soon.
The accused have been handed over to Panambur police for further investigation.
Shivaraj was sleeping on the terrace of his brother Jayaraj's house when three assailants came to the house and attacked him with weapons. Jayaraj who heard his brother's screams ran to the terrace and found him grievously injured. Shivaraj was rushed to hospital where he passed away.
Panambur police are investigating.
