Puttur, Jan 22: On the occasion of diamond jubilee celebrations of the college, department of Computer Science of St Philomena College organized annual IT fest ‘Pinnacle 2018’ on January 20.
The senior test engineer, emids Technologies Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru Darshan D S inaugurated the programme and said, “Self confidence and technical skills play a pivotal role in achieving success.”
Principal Prof Leo Noronha expressed his best wishes. Correspondent Fr Alfred J Pinto presided over the programme.
Intercollegiate IT Fest ‘Pinnacle 2018’ consisted of Product Launch, Web-Code, IT Manager, Paper-Poster Presentation, Dance, Gaming, IT Quiz and Treasure Hunt. The students from 20 colleges affiliated to Mangalore University have participated in these events.
Sharanya performed the prayer. HoD Vinayachandra welcomed the gathering. IT Club coordinator Rajeshwari M and vice-president of IT Club Jaimy Maria Joseph were present on this occasion. President of IT Club Mario Royston Mascarenhas rendered the vote of thanks. Ashika E A compered the programme.
The prize distribution ceremony of the ‘Pinnacle 2018’ was organized in the evening. The CRM Support Engineer, Microsoft India, Bengaluru Neeraj Rao Pawar participated as the guest and honoured the prize winners. Campus director Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro presided over the programme. HOD Vinayachandra and IT Club president Mario Roysten Mascarenhas were present.
SDM College of Business Management, Mangaluru bagged the overall championship and SDM College (Autonomous) Ujire secured the runners-up trophy of ‘Pinnacle 2018’.
