Allahabad, Jan 22: A member of Margadarshak Mandal (board of directors) of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has stated that international working president of the organization, Pravin Togadia, would be sacked from the post soon. Apparently Togadia's jibes against the centre and Rajasthan governments have not gone well with the board. The Mandal is the top body of VHP vested with right to take decisions.
Togadia had said that as per his information, Rajasthan police were after him and that they wanted to eliminate him through encounter. Because of his tough posture against the centre, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh too is unhappy with him, it is said. Vishwa Hindu Paridhad leader, Swami Chinmayanand, has said that Togadia, who has been showing signs of indiscipline, would be asked to quit his post.
There have, however, been several supporters in the form of several leaders who attended the Sant Sammelan, for Togadia. Togadia, who went missing on Monday and had been hospitalized later, had claimed later that intelligence bureau and Rajasthan police were out to frame him.
The member of the Mandal stated that Togadia had fallen from the stature he once enjoyed in Vishwa Hindu Parishad and that many in the organization are relieved about plans of his ouster. He pointed out recent utterances of Togadia as instances of indiscipline. Chinmayanand, who stressed that he has just been voicing the general opinion emerging in the Mandal, asserted that Togadia will no longer be associated with Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
However, general secretary of the Parishad, Champat Rai, stressed that Togadia continues to enjoy respectable position in Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the people in the organization and the society in general are happy with him.
