Panaji, Jan 20: Konkani film ‘Planning Devachem’ held its premiere at Ravindra Bhavan on January 9.The much-awaited film is produced under the banner of Goan Trinity Films.
The film’s screening received an overwhelming response with the show running houseful.
Jaspal Singh, IGP, Goa Police was the chief guest of the function along with Fr Dr Felix Lobo and Tony Gonsalvis, social worker from London as the guests of honour.
Writer-producer Severino Fernandes and director Rajesh Fernandes became emotional talking about the film on stage .Tapan Acharya, actor and the face of the film ‘Planning Devachem’ dedicated the film to Konkani cinema lovers in the world.
Prince Jacob and John D’Silva were seen meeting and greeting the audience. The Don (Sam Barboza) in the film Rons London had specially flown down from London to Goa for the premiere.
The film received huge applause from the audience. Tapan Acharya, Cecille Rodrigues, Seema Buthello and John D’Silva were appreciated by the fans.
The music for the film is composed by Rafael Vinay and cinematography is handled by Ramesh Babu. Eddie Fernandes, Stany Alvares, Anil Phednekar, Sunil Phednekar, Shane Gomes, Clare Rodrigues, and Sunitha Pinto play prominent roles in the film.
Commenting on the film after the premiere, members of the audience said that the film is a complete entertainer. The film shot on the picturesque locations of Goa and Karnataka has every ingredient to entertain the viewers.
“‘Planning Devachem’ will be screened in Goa, Karnataka and Mumbai and later in UAE, Kuwait, Israel and Canada,”said producer Severino Fernandes. Co-producer Ron Rodrigues has plans of screening the movie in United Kingdom too.
According to the producer, they have used base light technique and other elements which happen to be a first for a Konkani movie as this technique is used only in Bollywood and Hollywood movies. The movie will be released in Mangaluru during Easter.
Shakila Sheik compered the formal programme. The entire cast and crew was present for the premiere.
