Bengaluru: Police constable on duty assaulted by gang, critical

Bengaluru, Jan 17: A gang assaulted a police constable with lethal weapons while he was on duty in Padarayanapura on the night of Tuesday, January 16.

Rajendra is the person injured. He is attached to JJ Nagar police station.

Rajendra had gone too Padarayanapura in a Hoysala patrol vehicle to attend a complaint about 15 men creating nuisance. There he was assaulted by the gang.

Rajendra's condition is said to be critical presently.

Additional Commissioner of Police (West) B K Singh and DCP (West) M N Anucheth visited the spot and took stock of the situation.

A special team has been formed to apprehend the miscreants.

    so is the case of private bus drivers. As long as public get killed it is ok; once they mow down cops. ....., which might happen.
    I recommend all to ride a two wheeler in the city of Mangaluru.
    Of course with their wife or kid as pillion to have a hands on experience..

    Of late, assualting police on duty cases increasing day by day. Take action on Goondas, rowdy gangs and stop their nuisance. the Home Minister and govt has to take stern action against such gangs.

    CM after wake up: we will arrest all culprit with in 24 hour.
    HM: I know all culprit, they were wearing Helmet, 3 people was with Thilak, 1 guy have bread, small hair, we will arrest with in weak.

    Our HM is worried about BJP only. he is busy in commenting on BJP people as jokers, heroin's etc. but he don't have the guts to handle these goondas. there is no safety for police then what about common people? why this kind of HM is required? series of murders, crimes are increasing day by day but this congress govt busy with blame game. public don't want your political drama, it could congress or bjp or jds... but we want safety & security.

    The police force is not only failing in DK district but also in Bengaluru.

    Hooligan Gangs, Goondas, Rowdies are becoming stronger than police. Murder , street beating is becoming common.

    HM has failed completely in maintaining law and order. It is better if CM change the HM.
