Ballari, Jan 5: Coming down heavily on state home minister Ramalinga Reddy for his statement about the nexus between BJP and Popular Front of India (PFI), BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa challenged the minister to prove his charges within 24 hours.
Speaking to media persons on Friday, January 5 here, Yeddyurappa dismissed the allegations of three leaders of BJP Minorities Morcha were involved in Deepak Rao murder case in Katipalla near Mangaluru.
“Charges are false, concocted and politically motivated. BJP MPs from Karnataka met the Union home minister Rajnath Singh yesterday and sought NIA probe into Deepak Rao murder case,” Yeddyurappa said.
On the same occasion, Yeddyurappa asked chief minister Siddaramaiah to stop politicising Mahadayi river water sharing issue. “Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar is willing to share Mahadayi water with Karnataka. The state Congress leaders should convince their counterparts on Goa, who are opposing Parrikar's stance,” Yeddyurappa said.
He opined that MLA of Kudligi, B Nagendra, joining Congress is not an issue at all for BJP.
