Puttur, Dec 27: The inaugural function of the annual special camp of National Service Scheme of St Philomena College here was held on December 26 at DKZP Upper Higher Primary School Odya, Panaje in the taluk.

Former president of SDMC school Gopalakrishna Bhat Kakekocchi inaugurated the camp and said, "NSS camp provides a unique experience to the students, which will be very useful for their future."

The president of SDMC, Srikrishna Bhat Batyamoole, headmistress of the school Manjula M N, former officer of Indian Air Force, Ramanatha Rai Padyabettu and graduate teacher of the school, Usman were the chief guests.

The principal Prof Leo Noronha presided over the programme. The camp officers Shashiprabha B and Danya P T coordinated the programme.

A Gunashri Shetty led the prayer. NSS officer, Madhusudan N welcomed the gathering. Rakshitha R proposed the vote of thanks. Harinakshi S R compered the programme.
