Dubai, Jun 30: Out of action due to a groin injury, Sachin Tendulkar still moved up one spot to second while two unbeaten innings in the ongoing Asia Cup has pushed MS Dhoni by five places to joint fourth spot in the latest ICC ODI rankings for batsmen.
Tendulkar, with 758 points, is now behind South African captain Graeme Smith (792) while Dhoni, who has made 135 runs in the Asia Cup so far, shares the fourth place with Australians Ricky Ponting and Mike Hussey on 750 points.
The other two Indian batsmen in top-20 are Yuvraj Singh at joint 14th and Gautam Gambhir, who shares 20th spot.
In the ICC championship table, India remains at fourth, one point adrift of New Zealand (115) but with the Asia Cup still going on, India can go third if it wins its next two Super Four matches.
Australia (128) and South Africa (127) are neck-on-neck at the top of table while England loses further ground and is now firmly in seventh position two points adrift of Sri Lanka in sixth spot and five ahead of the West Indies in eighth.
