Dammam, Jun 27: Judah Deep Pereira from Bangalore is among the youngest persons in the world to pass the International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) certificate examination conducted by British Computer Society with an excellent overall grade. He is 9 years old. He passed this prestigious professional examination in May 2008 in Al Bassam Computer Institute, Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
He is the youngest to pass from India and Asia. It certifies his skills in the Basic of Computer Skills including Windows, Office package and Use of Internet. There are a total of 7 modules. This examination is conducted throughout the world and so far only less than 5 people have passed out in India.
He studies in Bangalore, India. His hobbies include Quizzing and music. The family has their roots in Majorda, Goa.
He is the son of Dr Savio Pereira and Roshni Pereira from Koramanagala. Dr Savio Pereira is a surgeon and healthcare informatics consultant who is an alumnus of St John's Medical College, Bangalore. Roshni Pereira is an educationist from Koramangala, Bangalore.
Dr Savio Pereira is one of the few Indian Doctors working at the King Fahad Specialist Hospital Dammam, a tertiary referral centre for Oncology and Transplant service for the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
