Riyadh, Jun 22: The International Indian School, Riyadh (IISR) organized a food and fun fair recently. The event attracted many members of the Indian community.
Dr Khalid Bin Saeed Al Suhaim, general director of private and foreign education, ministry of education, Saudi Arabia, and M O H Farooq, ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia, inaugurated the function.
Visiting the different stalls, Dr Khalid was impressed by the Peace TV- Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) stall showcasing various books and cd’s of Dr Zakir Naik. He also termed the event ‘fantastic’, when asked his opinion.
Mohammed Abdul Raheem, public relations manager of Peace TV, gave away gifts to the guests. There was also a cultural show wherein Hisham, one of the finalists of ‘Idea Star Singer’, sang also participated.
Ather, and Arjun, were the other singers in the show orchestrated by Jose Johnson, Salim Kumar, Shaji, Abdul Ahad, Saleem Krishnan, and sound engineer Shahabuddin.
M A Gaffar Siddique (Amer) was the anchor of the cultural fiesta.
Moied Al-Ghatani, observer, ministry of education, Saudi Arabia, Manzar Jamal Siddqui, principal (boys’ section), Zeenat Jafri, principal in-charge (girls section), Talib ur Rahman, chairman, school managing committee, and embassy officials, were present on this occasion.
