New Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS): Car maker Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday said it sold 146,446 units in October, growing by 9.5 per cent over the same period last fiscal.
Of the total, domestic sales were at 136,000 units, up by 9.9 per cent over the corresponding month a year ago, while exports stood at 10,446 units, an increase of 4.2 per cent over the corresponding month in 2016.
The car maker sold 133,793 units in October 2016 -- 10,029 units abroad and 123,764 units domestically.
In October, its passenger car sales in the mini, compact, super-compact and mid-size segments were 99,077 units, up by 6.7 per cent from 92,886 units in the corresponding month in 2016.
The firm also sold 23,382 units of utility vehicles, up by 29.8 per cent.
