Bantwal: Girl found with boys from another religion sent to remand home

Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Oct 29: Acting on tip off, personnel of the town police station here took five persons who were travelling in a Qualis vehicle from Bengaluru to Mangaluru on Saturday October 28. The people in the vehicle comprised of a minor girl, three young men from another religion, and a relative. They were questioned and sent to remand home at Mangaluru.

The girl in question, it transpires, is a high school student. The girl and those accompanying her had left Bengaluru on Friday. Reportedly, the family of the girl did not know about her plans. It is said that the group wanted to tour the coastal area of Karnataka by telling their families that it was a tour organized by their educational institutions.

During this period, a woman from Mangaluru claimed that the student happens to be her friend and requested the police to allow her to take her home. The police however, refused her request. They said that the girl would be handed over to her parents as and when they come here.

"Girl found with boys from another religion sent to remand home". This is what our india today is. It shows that we are still in the 20th century.
I want to know what offence they have committed. In this case it is the state which acted on the basis of religion. What business police have to stop them and send them to remand home. When india is changing people of india should change with it.
The police should be given a medal for what they did.

They are scared of cheating girls from their own community.
Firstly their girls are not allowed so much freedom & socialization.
Secondly such boys are scared of community guys or parents of girl who may use ISIS ways to avenge.
Wealthy life style and cash flow is abundant with these guys and over all mastermind in luring opposite sex.
I fail to understand how/why her relative joined the team.

These days this "another religion " concept has become a Big Question mark! Looks like these boys have no interest in their "own religion " concept!?

why punish the boys??? the girl came on her own will, no one forced her to do anything. Why blame the boys when she has equal part in the decision.

    Akil,
Jossey is right. The girl is minor, and a minor cannot be said to give consent, especially where own, especially when it comes to the males who ostensibly, as here, may have ulterior motives. In criminal law a minor cannot consent to sex; it is rape, at least statutory rape.
