Kasargod, Oct 23: CPI national leader D Raja on Saturday, October 21, said that BJP and RSS are conspiring to divide the country to make it a Hindu nation.
Speaking at Left Democratic Front Kerala’s state level awareness rally led by CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, he said, “There is no protection for people under Narendra Modi led government. Minorities and Dalits are being harassed and suppressed. Their right to live is being snatched. Modi led government which came to power with the slogan ‘Sab ka sath, Sab ka vikas’ promising two crore jobs, has not been able to fulfill the promise. Modi had said that he will retrieve black money deposited in Swiss banks and deposit Rs 15 lacs in everybody’s bank account. But he has forgotten the promises he made to the people after he came to power. BJP have fooled the people of the country,” he said.
“The union government which should have supported farmers, Dalits and ordinary citizens, is working for Ambani, Adani, Birla, Tata and such other businessmen. BJP which is busy dividing the country on religious lines, which had earlier demolished the Babri Masjid in 1992, is now preparing to demolish the Taj Mahal. It is a murder of democracy,” he added.
“Jana Samrakshana rally was held in Kerala a few days ago under the leadership of BJP national president Amit Shah. Chief ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, some other ministers and BJP leaders took part in it. In fact, the rally should not have been organised in Kerala. It should have been held in states where BJP is in power. People in BJP ruled states are urging for protection. People in Kerala live peacefully. The death of hundreds of infants at Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh cannot be forgotten. Why cannot chief minister Yogi Adityanath see harassment of Dalits and minorities? They have come to Kerala to create unrest,” he opined.
Kerala ministers E Chandrashekaran, Kadanapalli Ramachandran, MP P Karunakaran, CPM district secretary K P Sathischandran, CPI leader B V Rajan, M V Govindran master, V P P Mustafa, K R Jayananda, former minister A K Shashindran, former MLA C H Kunjambu, A Aboobacker, Abdul Razak Chippar, T Krishnan, Azeez Kadappura, Baby Shetty and others were present. The rally will conclude on November 3.
The rally was welcomed at Kasargod in the evening on October 21. It will proceed to Chattanchal at 10 am on October 22, 11 am to Kanhangad, and at 2.30 pm to Kalikkadavu.
The rally is held against anti-people and caste politics of the union government and BJP and UDF’s propaganda against the Kerala government. The north zone rally will be led by Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. The south zone rally will be led by CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran. The rally was set in motion by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan at Thiruvananthapuram.
