Belthangady, Oct 20: Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade set in motion the production of Kannada film 'Kanoorayana' here on Friday, October 20.
Speaking on the sidelines of the programme, he said that the progress of women enables progress of village and the country. “The rural development programme of Dharmastala is implemented in order to form ‘Ram Rajya’ (the kingdom of Rama) through ‘Gram Rajya’ (the kingdom based in village). The project to empower rural women has drawn the attention of the world,” said Dr Veerendra Heggade.
“May the film show to the people of urban areas the problems of rural life, challenges and the importance of agriculture and inspire them to come to villages and indulge in cultivation. The film can be watched with family. May it receive national award. The film has come out nicely in the leadership of popular film director T S Nagabharana reflecting on the development of rural life,” he opined.
“The film has been shot in Dharmastala. Shooting will be held in Belavadi village of Chikkamagaluru district in the next fifty days,” said director T S Nagabharana.
Hemavathi V Heggade conveyed her best wishes.
D Harshendra Kumar, Supriya Harshendra Kumar and Shradda Amith were present.
