Mangaluru, Oct 20: In spite of best efforts of the police, abductors who kidnapped Safwan (24), a resident of 8th block in Chokkabettu, Katipalla village near Suratkal, remain untraced so far. Safwan was forcibly taken away by miscreants on October 5 and neither he nor his abductors have been found till now.
Five persons had taken away Safwan in a vehicle at about 6 pm on October 5. This information was given by some eyewitnesses. On the basis of this information, father of Safwan, Abdul Hameed, had filed complaint in Suratkal station the same night. The police have been trying to crack this case by employing different tactics and from various angles, but they have not tasted success.

As such, the police have now released the photos of the abductors of Safwan. They have been identified as Samshuddin from Mukka, Safwan Hussain from Suratkal, Faizal alias Toppi Raizal and Shahil from Suratkal, and Sufian from Ballari. Safwan was kidnapped in a vehicle bearing registration No. KA 20 MA 2844.
Safwan is of wheatish complexion, with normal build, black hair, with oval face and growth stubble with mustache on his face. He can speak in Kannada, Tulu, and Beary languages, police said. People having access to any information about him or his abductors have been requested convey information to Suratkal police station.
