Mangaluru Oct 17: “Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) condemns the attack on software engineer Nandini by miscreants after she complained about illegal cow slaughter in Bengaluru,” said Jagadish Shenava from VHP.
Addressing media here on Tuesday October 17, VHP district president Jagadish Shenava demanded stringent action against police constables who ran away instead of shielding Nandini.
He also demanded their resignation. “Police need to provide security for cow protectors,” Shenava said.
"Mangaluru city mayor Kavitha Sanil is known for courage by raiding illegal activities in the city. We urge her to take initiative in stopping illegal cow slaughters which are being run without any fear in the city. If Mayor Kavitha Sanil takes this step, then people will definitely praise her,”
"As Deepavali celebration is a day away, devotees will worship cows as part of Hindu rituals. We have arranged cow worshipping programme in 120 places in Mangaluru. We request the devotees to take part in these programmes," he concluded.
VHP Secretary Gopal Kuthar, Bajrang Dal district convenor Bhujanga Kulal, Umesh Jappinamogaru and Praveen were present.
