Bengaluru, Oct 16: "We are not in need of a country full of cows, but of people. Let Prime Minister (PM), Narendra Modi, keep the cows with himself. Let minorities, backward classes and dalits work together to create an ideal society," said Janaprakash Swamiji of Urilinga Peddi Math, Mysuru. He was speaking at the mega convention organized by Popular Front of India (PFI) (Karnataka) with the motto, 'we have something to say', at Gauri Lankesh dais at palace grounds here on Sunday October 15.
"People who kill cows are being sent to jail. But those killing people go Scot free. We are in need of a country that is of and for the people and not cows. Let Modi build a country of cows for himself. We need to raise our voices against atrocities being committed in the country," he observed.
The Swamiji claimed that people who are telling the truth are being murdered. He criticized the PM for harping on his 'Mann Ki Baat'. Ou country is poor and hunger is stalking people, he noted. "Many die for want of food. Attacks against dalits continue to happen," he said, expressing concerns about these evils.
He felt that if Muslims, dalits and backward classes come together, the remaining four percent of people will come forward to wait at the doorsteps of others. He observed that unless these classes get united, there is no future for them.
He stated that PFI is not a terrorist organization and branded some organizations which fight on the issue of caste and religion as real terrorists. He warned people to be alert about possibility of BJP and other Hindu outfits which are now demanding India free of Congress, seeking Muslim-free India later and then the country devoid of Budhists.
State president of PFI, Mohammed Saqib, in his address, said that PFI has been fighting alone for the empowerment of Muslims and that it is the voice of the exploited people. He accused fascist forces of trying to destroy this organization.
