Bengaluru, Oct 6: The BJP, which had announced often that it would soon release a charge sheet about corrupt practices indulged in by the state government, has now decided to organize press conference once every three days to launch tirade against the government. Having failed to prepare the charge sheet in time, the party now wants to unveil various scams and scandals of the government through these press conferences.
BJP state president, B S Yeddyurappa, had said that the charge sheet containing details of corruption of the government would be released on September 26. It is learnt that the party has not been able to release the charge sheet as its leaders have failed to procure certified copies of documents from government officials. Because of this, the party now has decided to bring before the people wrongdoings of the state governments once in three days.
Speaking to media persons on Thursday October 5, BJP state president, B S Yeddyurappa, said that MP, Shobha Karandlaje, had provided information about certain scandals involving the government. "MLC, B J Puttaswamy, will unearth another scandal next week. Thereafter, the party leaders will unearth before the media persons various scams and scandals of the state government," he stated.
Yeddyurappa said that although the government had announced waiver of farm loans raised by agriculturists from cooperative banks, so far the benefit has not been passed on to farmers even after 100 days since this announcement was made. He pointed out that even revenue minister, Kagodu Thimmappa, has confessed about this issue. He said that because of the government's faux pas on this matter, the farmers are facing problems in getting new loans, while cooperative banks are on the verge of bankruptcy. He therefore urged the chief minister to release the money meant for loan waiver immediately.
