Mangaluru, Oct 4: “BJP and Udupi-Chikkamaagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje are experienced in looting and also in jail stay. Hence, they are fit to organize ‘Loot ki Baat’,” said minister for food and civil supplies U T Khader.
Addressing mediapersons on Wednesday, October 4, he slammed Shobha Karandlaje for her recent comments on Siddaramaiah’s planned 'Kaam Ki Baat' programme, he said, “The state government under Siddaramaiah started a lot of welfare programmes for people. Therefore, we will start the programme 'Kaam Ki Baat'.”
Speaking on BJP national president Amit Shah’s visit, he said, “The visit which was scheduled this week was cancelled. If he visits our state in the coming days, he has to answer lot of questions. His party, at the time of elections, promised a lot of things which are not yet fulfilled. Despite, prices of crude oil in the international market being very low, the price of petrol and diesel are increasing on a daily basis. They even withdrew the subsidy on LPG.”
“Our soldiers are dying at the border. Dawood Ibrahim is enjoying life in Pakistan and Modi is visiting the place to have tea. There is no peace in Kashmir. Terrorists are ruling there and BJP government is enjoying power in state. Youth are unemployed. These are the facts and questions of ordinary people who voted BJP in the last election with good expectations. But the BJP led government dashed against their hopes. So Amit Shah should respond to the queries of the people,” he stated.
“After demonetization, former PM Manmohan Singh warned the government on how the move will lower our GDP. But no one heard him. Now his prophecy has become true. Now their own leaders are speaking about the blunders of this government,” he said.
“Now, Amith Shah is roaming with Z-plus security cover provided by the government. But his party protested against Z-plus security to former PM late Rajiv Gandhi and demanded to withdraw it. This shows how they make U-turn from their earlier demands and ideology. They oppose everything when in opposition, but implement the same things when they come to power. This shows their double standard,” he added.
“So people of Karnataka are waiting for answers from Amit Shah on his next visit. He should remember that this is not Gujarat. People of Karnataka have always been brave and they will not allow Amit Shah to escape from these many unanswered questions,” he concluded.
