Kundapur, Oct 2: “Sri Ram was a role model for the entire universe. It is an insult and injustice that it is not been possible to construct Ram Mandir at Ayodhya even after 70 years of Independence. On this note, a three-day meet will be held on November 24 led by Pejawar Swamiji, where over 2000 swamijis from across the country are expected to join. This will be the first step towards constructing the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya,” said RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.
He was addressing after inaugurating the Vishwa Hindu Parishat Byndoor unit representatives convention at Seetha Ramachandra Temple on Sunday October 1.
“We did not get the Independence just to form a nation but also to save our culture, values and religion which is hidden within us. Gandhiji had a concept to make this country as Rama Rajya but it never fulfilled which is unfortunate.” Bhat added.
“We could not construct Ram Mandir in his home town at Ayodhya which is a sheer insult. Sri Ramachandra is another name for role model. As a son, brother, husband, king and even as an enemy, Sri Ramachandra was a role model,” he added.
Speaking about government’s move to stop aid to school, Bhat said, “From the past 10 years, Kollur temple is providing fund in the form of mid-day meal to the students of Sri Rama Vidya Kendra in Kalladka. But government denied the aid provided to the school. It is an embarrassment to the government to deny food for the students. We will not beg the government for food. Instead we will beg from people and provide food for the students and teach self respect.”
Udupi district president of Vishwa Hindu Parishat Vilas Nayak, Bajrangdal leader Sharan Pumpwell, Venkataramana Kharvi, Gopalkrishna, Nithyananda Uppunda were present.
