Mangaluru, Oct 1: On behalf of Hindu Samrakshana Samithi and Tulunada Rakshana Vedike, complaints were filed with the police commissioner of the city commissionerate on Saturday September 30. Both these organizations have accused certain persons of posting abusive material about reverred Hindu gods thereby hurting the sentiments of Hindus.
It has been pointed out by the complainants that a person named Santhosh Uppar had shared a post containing objectionable content about a Hindu god in the Facebook page standing in the name Angel Nayana Prajwal on September 27 this year. The organizations said that comment containing ulterior material showing one of the iconic divine power having lot of devotees in Tulunadu, Koragajja, in poor light, was posted in this page . The organizations demanded strict legal action against people responsible for this post, and warned of launching strong agitation if the needful lis not done.
It may be recalled that similar complaints had been received about derisive posts about Goddess Durgaparameshwari of Kateel last year, and the accused had been arrested. Likewise, recently, a person who had clicked photographs of himself in an obscene posture with the statue of Deyi Baidethi, mother of legendary heroes known for valour and justice, Koti and Chennaya, and posted the same in social website, also was arrested.
