Mangaluru Sep 30: BJP National president Amit Shah will be taken in a vehicle rally from Mangaluru airport to Talapady on Kerala border on October 2 informed Sanjeev Matandur, the BJP district president.
Addressing media here on Saturday September 30, Sanjeev Matandur said," Amit Shah will be visiting Kerala from October 3 to 5 to hold Padayathra to condemn the attack on Hindu activists in Kerala. As he will be travelling to Kerala via Mangaluru, he will be reaching Mangaluru on October 2. The district BJP leaders are set to take BJP national president Amit Shah in a vehicle procession consisting of nearly 300 vehicles,”
“On October 3, Amith Shah will take part in padayathra in Kerala condemning the attack on Hindu activists in that state. On October 4, BJP party representatives meet will be held at Hotel Ocean Pearl here followed by discussion with experts involving lawyers, doctors, educational institutions at TMA Pai Hall,” informed Sanjeev Matandur.
BJP Padayathra in Puttur postponed to October 10
"Due to Amit Shah's visit to Mangaluru on October 2, the scheduled district unit BJP's 22 –kilometre Padayathra from Puttur to Padumale in Puttur taluk on the same day 2 has been postponed to October 10. The padayathra seeks action against forces behind the recent desecration of the statue of Devi Baidethi, mother of warrior twins Koti-Chennaya at Mupinadka," said Sanjeev Matandur.
District BJP general secretary Brijesh Chowta, BJP leaders Monappa Bhandary, Vedavyas Kamath, Pooja Pai and others were present.
