Kundapur, Sep 25: A youngster lost his life on the spot after the motor bike he was riding hit a road divider on national highway 66 near Trasi Maravanthe beach on the night of Sunday September 24.
The victim was Fleming Mendonca, a student of a private ITI based in the town. He was a native of Tallur near here.
Fleming was going towards Bhatrkal with his KTM motor bike. Perhaps, failing to observe that there was a divider, he continued to ride his two-wheeler at considerable speed and hit the divier with force as a result of which both the persons on the bike were thrown on to the road.

Both suffered serious injuries to their heads. Fleming died on the spot, while the pillion rider, Joyson Mendonca (18) who sustained serious injuries, is being treated in the intensive care unit of KMC Manipal.
Both the youngsters were close relatives and were bound for Bhatkal. Ibrahim Gangolli, who operates an ambulance service at Gangolli rushed to the spot immediately after coming to know of the accident, and took the injured to Manipal. A case about the accident was registered in Gangolli police station.
