Mangaluru, Sep 18: Bearys Institute of Technology held Onam celebrations on Monday September 18 with a vivid display of cohesiveness among whole of the college community.

Principal Dr Antony AJ gave Onam message of prosperity, equality and togetherness. Various department heads and staff were present to mark the celebration. 

As a part of the celebration, the students of the college prepared a beautiful multi-colored floral decoration (Pookalam). By 9:30 am Onam celebrations were in full swing. Young ladies looking stunning in their traditional saris and young men resplendent in their colourful choices of dhotis all participated.

Students organized events such as group songs around the Pookalam, musical chair and Tug of war among other events on this occasion.

To conclude, Onasadya (feast) was served in mess hall of boy’s hostel. It was a traditional sadya with Parippu, pappadam and two types of payasam served in banana leaves.

All the students and staff enjoyed the tasty sadya.
