Dear Police commissioner of Mangalore. The crime and criminals are always getting their ways on weapons weather you like it or not. I suggest police to check weapons regular on people and their cars and motor bikes. I saw with my own eyes in a Garage that one of the bike had handle bar alteration with big knife inside it. People also carry sharp small knife in the shoes or back side of their Trousers. Let us all take responsibility of preventing crime.

    Prakash Adiga,

I disagree with your comment. Taking away weapons won't reduce murder. I am for legalizing guns. I want each and every citizen armed so that they can defend themselves.

You said something about a bike handlebar being modified to conceal a weapon. What have you not said is the reason for that person on doing so. is he keeping the knife for self-defence? might be. We should be allowed to carry weapons for self-defence. When bad guys come to attack you... no one will come to your help. Police will only arrive at the scene after everything is done, to conduct forensics.

Nowadays the common factor in every community is, when they kill someone from their own there is no protests, no bandhs, no curfew, no pressure to police or government and he doesn't belongs any political party. Just considering as a normal death. And everything gets normal.
And if the same got killed by other community the consequence will be different like, the victim suddenly become activist of a particular party, very innocent, and exhibited as political or communal murder. Strikes, stone pelting, blaming failure of system / police, attacks, deadline to capture culprits, rallies, media discussion, etc. etc.
It means they don't value or really care of the person deceased, instead using a death as an opportunity to politicize and to blame other community entirely. Politician showing extra sympathy and gain community support!!! How people can be such fools. Where are we heading???!!
