Mangaluru, Sep 15: It was an evening to remember as Kadri Cricketers Club celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with an exuberant 'Mosaru Kudike' followed by a star-studded Rhythmic Nite-2017 musical show at Kadri ground here on Thursday September 14 night.
Sandalwood 'Hatrick Hero' Shiva Rajkumar and 'Dimple Queen' Rachitha Ram were the star attractions of the event.
"Mangaluru is like a second home to me. Like my father, I have shot many my movies in different parts of the coastal region. I love this beautiful weather of the coast and its cuisine, like fish. Moreover, people in the coastal region are kind and very supportive. I will do a Tulu film soon and will do it differently," said Shiva Rajkumar.
Rachitha Ram said, "It feels so nice to be in the coastal region and be a part of this event. Tomorrow (Friday September 15) my Kannada movie 'Bharjari' will be releasing and I need all your support to make it as a hit."
Shiva Raj Kumar enthralled the audience with 'Huli Vesha' dance and sang the title track of his movie 'Yuvaraja' and 'Tuvi Tuvi' song from 'Anand' movie.
The teaser of 'Dr Raj Cup 2017' cricket tournament was also released on the occasion.
Former chief minister Veerappa Moily who also attended the event said, "It is a privilege to share the stage with Dr Shiva Rajkumar. I congratulate corporators D K Ashok and Kadri Cricketers Club on their efforts to make this event a grand success."
District in-charge minister Ramanath Rai, minister for food and civil supplies U T Khader, mayor Kavitha Sanil, MLA Mohiudeen Bava, MLA J R Lobo, Youth Congress president Mithun Rai, managing director of Bhandary Builders Lakshmish Bhandary and others were also present.
Playback singers likes of Supriya Lohith, Ajay Warrier, Deepak Doodera, Eesha Suchi, Prakash Mahadevan and Roopa Prakash entertained the audience with their beautiful voices. 'TeaAm 5678' dance crew from Bengaluru performed scintillating numbers.
Indian sprinter M R Poovamma, Shiva Rajkumar and Rachitha Ram were felicitated.
Actor Pruthvi Amber and 'Mrs Popular' Soujanya Hegde compered the programme.
During Mosaru Kudike, young men formed pyramids and broke the curd pots amid loud cheering from the huge crowd that gathered at the venue. About 6-8 tableaux were taken out in a procession with Nasik band. Fireworks added to the celebration.

The famous 'Mosaru Kudike' celebration at Attavar here was held amidst much excitement and festive fervour. Tiger dances and the chende were also part of celebrations.
Brilliant tableaux and a Nasik band were among the main attractions. Crackers were burst, and all along the route, the participants broke earthen pots.
