Mangaluru: Louis J Pinto re-elected president of Mandd Sobhann

Mangaluru, Sep 14: Louis J Pinto has been re-elected as the president of Mandd Sobhann for the term 2017-18.

The 30th annual general body meeting of Mandd Sobhann was convened recently at Kalaangann, in which the annual report and the audited statement of accounts were presented, discussed and approved. The new Executive Committee was elected in the meeting.

The office-bearers for the year 2017-18 were elected at the first executive committee meeting on September 12.

The office-bearers are as follows : 

Gurkar - Eric Ozario, President - Louis J Pinto
Co-ordinator - Stany Alvares, Vice-President - U Prakash Shenoy
Secretary - Kishore Fernandes, Treasurer - Arun Raj Rodrigues
Joint Secretary - Irine Rebello
Public Relations Officer - Naveen Lobo

In-charge

Konkani Museum - Lawrence D’Souza
Pintur - Rony Crasta
Sumell - Sunil Monteiro
Kalakul - Victor Mathias
Nach Sobhann - Alfred Bennis
Properties - Clara D’Cunha

Other members of the Executive Committee are: Roy Castelino, Ronald Mendonca, Fr Ramesh Naik Bandodkar (all ex-officio), Narayan Kharvi, Joel Pereira, Sunil Siddi, Lingappa Gowda and Harriet Vidyasagar.

    Excellent choice. :louis Pinto is an action oriented - result oriented person. He does not mince words. He means what he says and says what he means. Manned Sobhann is now in very good hands. Eric gave this body a start and it is good to see the progress over the years. My good wishes are and will always be with Mandd Sobhann.
