Bengaluru, Sep 13: BJP leaders have hit out at some rationalists who have been making allegations against Sangh Parivar outfits relating to the murder of Gauri Lankesh. They have asked the state government to present prize money of ten lac rupees announced for people providing information about killers of Gauri, to All India Congress Committee vice president Rahul Gandhi and historian and thinker Ramachandra Guha.
BJP state prsident B S Yeddyurappa, leader of the opposition in the assembly Jagadish Shettar, MP Prahlad Joshi and MLA C T Ravi, speaking at the workshop for BJP election managers from south Karnataka area on Tuesday, resented attempts being made to accuse Sangh Parivar of involvement in Gauri Lankesh's murder.
They questioned as to who is conducting the protest convention condemning the murder of Gauri Lankesh. They accused some rationalists of shooting their mouths irresponsibly to cover up the failure of Congress government in the state.
BJP Karnataka state in-charge Muraleedhar Rao speaking on the occasion to journalists, said that BJP was opposed to the ideology of Gauri but had also strongly condemned her killing. He accused Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi of trying to accuse Sangh Parivar of involvement in this murder in an apparent attempt to subvert investigation in the case. He felt that this looks like an effort at shielding someone.
