Bengaluru, Sep 4: BJP has decided to organize statewide protests against the government if its proposed 'Mangaluru Chalo' rally being held to condemn killings of Sangh Parivar and BJP activists and demanding to place ban on Popular Front of India and Karnataka Forum for Dignity which the party allege, are involved with these murders.
"State government has been making all out efforts to suppress the proposed rally. You should not back out from holding the rally at any cost. If the police block your movements, you should sit on the road and begin protest demonstration," Yeddyurappa told Yuvamorcha activists. He said that if the government somehow subdues the rally, the programme should immediately be undertaken all over the state on a larger scale and protests should be undertaken everywhere.

The chief minister has already instructed the concerned that law and order situation should not be allowed to be disturbed during the proposed rally and the police department has been asked to set conditions while permitting the rally. Inspector of Sullia police station has already issued written instructions to marriage halls in the region not to facilitate the participants of bike rally to stay in the halls overnight. BJP is angry at these developments.
BJP feels that the government is unnecessarily creating problems for the rally although the police officers have been informed by BJP Yuva Morcha that its activists will hold peaceful protest. If the government goes ahead with its plan of subverting the rally, the party plans use it as a base for a fresh attack on the government.

It is said that BJP state unit has asked the activists not to take minor efforts that might be made by miscreants to hijack the rally on the way seriously. It has told them to hit back only if the situation goes out of hand and BJP activists face physical harm.
