Puttur, Sep 3: St Philomena Pre-University College here, on Thursday, September 7, will organise one-day district level competitions ‘Pratibha’ for High School students, on the occasion of its Diamond jubilee celebrations, in the college auditorium.
The competitions include clay modelling, quiz, science model, folk dance, best out of waste, pencil sketch, product launching, seminar presentation and collage making.
The inaugural ceremony will be held at 9.30am. Prof Xavier D’Souza, principal, Government First Grade College for Women, Puttur will inaugurate and participate as the chief guest.
Prof Leo Noronha, principal, St Philomena College Puttur, and Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, campus director and chairperson for PG Studies, St Philomena College Puttur, will participate as guests of honour. Fr Alfred J Pinto, correspondent, St Philomena College Puttur will preside over the programme.
The valedictory and prize distribution ceremony will be held at 3.30pm. Fr Rithesh Rodrigues, assistant professor, PG department of Commerce, St Philomena College will participate as the chief guest.
Fr Vijay Lobo, principal and Prashanth Bhat P, chief coordinator anticipates the participation of more than 500 students from nearly 40 high schools.
