Dharwad, Aug 27: Reports doing the rounds here had said that a student of Kendriya Vidyala (1) at Hubballi here had injured her finger when playing Blue Whale computer game. The school however, has denied the report.
Principal of the school, S T Metri, addressing a press conference here on Saturday August 26, trashed the news which said that the girl student of the school had injured herself when playing this deadly game. He said that the girl student referred in the report and her parents have been questioned and they have confirmed that the girl had done nothing of the kind. The parents also dismissed the information that the girl was playing Blue Whale game.
"We have repeatedly advised the parents of our students to keep an eye on their wards when they handle cellphones and not to allow them to play games. Wrong information spread everywhere after some classmates of the girl conveyed it to the class teacher," Metri added.
Ashoknagar police confirmed that the girl was not hurt. The police would be submitting a report thereof to higher authorities in this respect, said inspector of Ashoknagar station, Jagadish Hanchanal.
