Kundapur, Aug 25: The birthday of Lord Ganesh, believed to be the solver of all impediments was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at Anegudde Vinayaka temple on Friday August 25.

Devotees in thousands arrived, visited the deity and sought his blessings.

Special prayers and rituals were held since 4.30 am today. More than 45,000 devotees prayed to the deity at Kumbhasi Anegudde temple. Arrangements were made to serve meals to ten thousand devotees.

Anegudde Vinayaka temple is one among seven most revered temples in Kundapur taluk. Therefore, Ganesh Chaturthi is special here. Devotees from hometown and elsewhere arrive to visit the deity.

Kundapur station and traffic police had made arrangements for smooth flow of traffic.
