Bengaluru, Aug 24: In a sensational expose, a national news channel has claimed that all the information, documents, and evidences stand purposefully destroyed relating to suicide committed by the then deputy superintendent of police, M K Ganapati.
It has said that the door of the room in the lodge where Ganapati stayed on his last night, was open from inside and closed from outside. 'Finger prints were not collected before bringing the body of Ganapathy down from the ceiling fan. Bullet marks were found on the body,' are the observations that have never been made public in the past. One of the witnesses revealed that he was made to sign blank sheets of paper.

Information in Ganapati's cellphone including those of prominent leaders, telephone numbers of a relative of a central minister, former ministers, and MLAs were among the items destroyed. 2,500 photographs, 57 messages, and 100 e-mails too stand deleted. A PDF file containing over 145 pages was found to have been destroyed, the news channel said, quoting report of the forensic laboratory.
The details which were deleted mainly connected with Congress MLA Muniratna, union minister Sadananda Gowda's son Kartik Gowda, former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, director general of police R K Dutta's son, Abhijay, it is stated.
7091 text files, 31 PPT files, 52 messages in Ganapathy's cellphone, 152 names of MLAs, ministers, and others, 199 files which were in a 16 GB pen drive, 185 files found in 8 GB pen drive, and 910 MS Excel files are among the evidences destroyed, the channel stated.
