Mangaluru, Aug 23: BJP MP from Mysuru Pratap Simha on Wednesday August 23 announced that the BJP state Yuva Morcha will organize a massive 'Mangaluru Chalo' bike rally reaching the city on September 7, in which BJP workers from various parts of Karnataka will participate. The rally is being organized to press for ban on PFI and KFD.
Addressing a press meet at Hotel Oceal Pearl here, Simha said, "The state BJP Yuva Morcha will 'Mangaluru Chalo' bike rally on September 7. Bike rallies will start from five places, namely Hubbali, Shivamogga, Mysuru, Bengaluru, and Chikkamagaluru on different dates, and join at Mangaluru on September 7. Around 10,000 bikes are expected to be part of the rally.
"The bike rally from Hubballi will start on September 5, and other places on September 6," he added.
"The reason behind organising the bike rally is to demand ban on PFI and KFD. During 2011, two students - Sudhindra and Venkatesh - were abducted from Mysuru and brutally murdered. Later it was proved that KFD and PFI leaders were behind the murder.
"A lot of cases have registered been registered against PFI and KFD over the years. When R Ashok was home minister (during BJP government), 175 cases were filed against 1,600 people of KFD and PFI. Even Siddaramaiah knew this.
"But after Siddaramaiah became the chief minister, he withdrew all the 175 cases against PFI and KFD, sending a strong message that Congress supports social evils like KFD and PFI and defends them. This has encouraged them to involve in more such anti-social activities.
"PFI and KFD leaders are involved in the murders of Vishwanath Shetty, Prashanth Poojary, Rudresh, Ravi, Praveen, Kuttapa, and Sharath. There is some conspiracy behind this. All these murders were committed due to the influence from Kerala. The CM does not feel like banning KFD and PFI, while Ramanath Rai has always been known to doze of and talk against the innocents while defending the culprits," Simha said.
"We have selected Mangaluru as the centre of our protest because this is where a series of murders have happened, starting from Prashant Poojary to Sharath Madivala.
"We demand ban on KFD and PFI. We also demand resignation of Rai and that all cases of murders of Hindu activists be handed over to the CBI," he said.
Pratap Simha also released the poster of Mangaluru Chalo rally.
