Bhatkal, Aug 13: “Nothing will happen to Congress party even if ten Amit Shahs come to Karnataka,” said minister U T Khader.
Speaking to reporters in Bhatkal Khader said, “Amit Shah has come to organize BJP. It has no connection with Congress party. The news that there is anxiety in Congress due to his arrival is false. Nobody from Congress is leaning towards BJP. Congress party has always stood strong in the state. Wait and see how many people from other parties will join Congress by this December.”
Speaking about discontinuing aid to school led by Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat, he said there is no rule anywhere that temple school should be provided aid. “There are hundreds of government and aided schools from Kollur to Kalladka. Poor children are studying in those schools also. Those schools are not being given any aid. Why then is the aid to one school? Earlier temple administration had kept the matter a secret. Those in school also had not informed about it. They had not hung a banner or board also. The matter was made known when new administration came in the temple. The aid has been stopped after the matter came to the notice of government.” Khader added.
“There is no political motive behind it. Congress is not weak in the coastal region as termed by Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat. We will win one seat more than last elections. People want peace in Dakshina Kannada district. All the murder suspects have been arrested there. The murder of Sharath is being investigated. We are confident that police will arrest the culprits,” he said.
