Kuwait, May 12: Daaiz.com announced winners of its Daaiz Literary Competition, its fourth successive Konkani literature short story writing competition.

The winners are:

1. Catheriine Rodrigues, Katpady (first prize - Rs 5000) - story: 'Bennsaam'
2. Melvin Pinto, Neerude (second prize - Rs 3000) - story: 'Khunni'
3. Ron Roche, Cassia (third prize - Rs 2000) - story: 'Moddkor Jonel'

Special prize (Rs 1000 worth books and certificate) was bagged by J B Moraes (Story: 'Aputt Bhangarak Parkilem na').

II. Poetry
1. Jo Si Siddakatte (First prize -  Rs 5000) - poem: 'Tujevinnem'
2. Antony Barkur (Second prize -  Rs 3000) - poem: 'Krishnna Sangim'

Special Prize  (Rs 1000 worth books and certificate) was won by Prasann Niddodi for the poem 'Bhukechem Vinngem Saval.'
