Bengaluru: CBI receives complaint against D K Shivakumar on money laundering

Daijiworld Media Network- Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Aug 6: A person named Guruprasad from Bidadi has complained to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against energy minister D K Shivakumar alleging money laundering and corruption.

Guruprasad has alleged in his complaint that D K Shivakumar had converted black money amounting to Rs 2,000 crore by making use of facility to convert demonetised currency notes, into new currency.

“Sachin Narayan, who owns Ashoka Hotel at Hassan, had played a major role in this conversion. The conversion was done through people who were handed old notes up to Rs 2 lac per person for exchange through banks,” reads the complaint.

There is also mention of astrologer Dwarakanath in the complaint saying he also helped Shivakumar in converting notes.

The complaint also accuses Shivakumar of earning Rs 6,000 crore through irregularities committed in the name of setting up of solar power project Pavagada, with the help of G V Balram, managing director of Renewable Energy Development Corporation, and personal secretary of energy minister, Sridha.

Guruprasad had given a similar complaint to Enforcement Directorate (ED) two days before.

Income Tax department had raided the properties of minister Shivakumar and his aides in multiple locations. The raids that lasted for nearly 72 hours ended on Saturday.

When we take couple lakhs of rupees to deposit, the bank staff get suspicious. How the hell these people manage to hide thousands of crores of unaccounted money. The entire system looks corrupt including financial institutions. It is time that all the currency notes thousand rupees and above denomination embed with micro-chip.

I don't think anything will happen to D K Shivkumar. He is too seasoned a corrupt politician to be arrested. By now he would have already entered into an agreement with the BJP to see that the matter does not escalate. He has enough looted wealth to buy anybody. We people are the biggest fools if we fail to see what is going on behind the scenes.

What the central ruling BJP party need to know is that there are enough number of corrupt and greedy high ranking officers within the ITD, ED and CBI who can be easily exploited by the persons being raided which is why the high and mighty seldom go to jail. Even if they do it is just for a brief visit. Late Jayalalitha's disproportionate assets case is a good example. The ruling BJP party must clean corruption in their own house and then in all government institutions before using them and before proclaiming themselves to be the champions of the fight against corruption. Pour as much water on a duck's back - no change.
